Busan: President Lee Jae Myung will engage in summit talks with outgoing Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Busan next week, the presidential office announced Friday. The meeting is scheduled as part of Ishiba's two-day visit to South Korea from Tuesday to Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung stated that the talks aim to strengthen the foundations for future-oriented cooperation between South Korea and Japan. This summit marks Ishiba's first visit to South Korea since assuming office in October of the previous year.
