Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable shifts in share prices with key companies witnessing significant changes. Among these, NAVER and COSMAX recorded the most substantial movements, reflecting a turbulent trading session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, NAVER saw a steep decline, with its share price dropping by 10,400 to close at 188,700. On the other hand, COSMAX experienced a surge, with its stock price increasing by 21,700 to reach 196,100. Other companies like SamsungSecu and KUMHOTIRE also faced downward trends, with decreases of 300 and 35, respectively.
Conversely, several firms experienced upward trends. Hyundai Elevator and SAMSUNG SDS both saw their stock prices rise by 500, closing at 75,500 and 128,500, respectively. POSCO DX experienced a significant increase of 1,000, ending at 25,450. Similarly, companies like SK and Doosan Enerbility saw gains, with increases of 500 and 450, respectively.
The session also saw mixed performances from other companies. SKTelecom remained unchanged, closing at 53,100, while SamsungE and A increased by 520 to 20,000. On the downside, LOTTE WELLFOOD and KT experienced declines of 1,700 and 1,200, closing at 115,100 and 50,800, respectively.
Overall, the trading session highlighted a volatile market environment, with significant gains and losses across the board, as investors reacted to various factors influencing the market dynamics.
