Mixed Performance in KOSPI 200 as Tech Stocks Surge


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance as several technology stocks closed higher, while other sectors experienced declines. The closing prices revealed movements in key stocks that contribute to the index’s overall performance.



According to Yonhap News Agency, amongst the gainers, Mobis saw a rise in its stock price by 6,000 to close at 317,000. Hanchem also increased by 6,000, ending at 203,500. Notably, NAVER’s stock went up by 5,000 to settle at 238,500, and LG Electronics increased by 4,300, closing at 82,200. Other tech and related sectors like Samsung SDS and SK also saw upward trends, gaining 2,000 and 3,000, respectively.



Conversely, several companies faced declines. HANWHA AEROSPACE dropped significantly by 7,000 to 1,023,000, while Korea Aerospace fell by 7,600, closing at 107,400. SamsungHvyInd and HDC HOLDINGS also experienced drops, with declines of 100 and 1,030, respectively.



Additionally, other notable movements included HD HYUNDAI MIPO, which decreased by 1,100 to 197,600, and S-1, dropping by 3,900 to 80,900. Smaller changes were observed in stocks like Doosan Enerbility and NCsoft, which declined by 700 and 1,000, respectively.
