Samsung Names BTS’ RM as Ambassador for Samsung Art TV

Seoul: Samsung Electronics Co. said Tuesday it has appointed RM, leader of K-pop sensation BTS, as the official ambassador for its Samsung Art TV. As part of the collaboration, Samsung Electronics will release "RM's Art Commentary" on the Samsung Art Store, where RM shares his personal perspectives on a selection of artworks, the company said in a press release.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company stated that RM's commentary will enable users to appreciate artworks on a deeper level. RM expressed that the collaboration with Samsung Art TV is significant to him, as he finds deep inspiration and comfort through various forms of art. He hopes this project will help more people connect with art in their everyday lives.

RM is also set to participate in a special talk session Wednesday in Basel, Switzerland, where Art Basel, the world's largest art fair, will take place from Thursday to Sunday. This participation highlights RM's active involvement in the art world beyond his musical career.

The Samsung Art Store is a subscription-based service initially launched on The Frame, Samsung's lifestyle TV, allowing users to enjoy a personalized art gallery experience at home. The platform offers more than 3,500 artworks in 4K resolution from world-renowned museums and artists and has expanded this year to include Samsung's Neo quantum dot light-emitting diode (QLED) and QLED models.
