Samsung SDS Unveils Enterprise-Focused New AI Agent Service

Seoul: Samsung SDS Co., an information technology (IT) solutions arm of Samsung Group, on Thursday unveiled its new agentic artificial intelligence (AI) services designed to boost workplace productivity through autonomous AI agents. The company said it has upgraded its existing AI offerings -- including its generative AI platform FabriX and business solutions Brity Copilot and Brity Automation -- to feature agentic capabilities. These new services allow AI to act independently by responding to conditions, making decisions, and executing tasks without direct human commands.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee June-hee, chief executive officer (CEO) of Samsung SDS, highlighted during a media event that the company has evolved FabriX, Brity Copilot, and Brity Automation from simple AI assistants to agentic services that can autonomously process tasks. "Samsung SDS possesses the expertise in language models, data, and enterprise systems needed to deliver the best agentic AI services for businesses," he added. Lee also emphasized the competitiveness of Samsung SDS' AI offerings compared with those of other global players.

The agentic version of Brity Copilot, for instance, supports real-time interpretation in seven languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese, enabling seamless multilingual meetings without the need for manual controls or human translators, while some services by others currently offer only subtitles. Samsung SDS plans to expand the supported languages to 17 by November.

The company is targeting the public and financial sectors, where demand is growing for AI-powered system transformation. In the second half of this year, Samsung SDS will offer FabriX as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for the South Korean government's electronic document and task management system. "By integrating agentic AI capabilities into Brity Copilot and Brity Automation, we aim to help businesses accelerate automation," said Song Hae-goo, vice president of Samsung SDS. "After solidifying our domestic presence this year, we plan to expand into the European market next year."
