Seoul: Stock investment-linked dividends paid from overseas to South Korean investors doubled in the first three quarters of the year from a year earlier, data showed Wednesday. South Korean investors received US$1.75 billion in dividends in the January-September period, marking a 107.6 percent increase from the same period a year earlier.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the data from the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) highlighted that a significant portion of these dividends, specifically 93.8 percent, originated from companies traded on Wall Street. Additionally, 3.6 percent of the dividends were from Japan, and 1.1 percent came from companies listed on the Hong Kong stock market.
