Seoul: Monday's closing prices on the Korea Stock Exchange revealed a mixed performance for the KOSPI 200 stocks.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies experienced gains, with Hyundai Motor leading the upward trend, closing at KRW 218,000, an increase of 4,000. Kia Corp. and Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance also saw rises, ending at KRW 101,900 and KRW 457,500, respectively. Meanwhile, LG Corp. and Daewoong reported positive movements, closing at KRW 76,000 and KRW 24,800.
In contrast, some stocks faced declines. Nongshim experienced a significant drop, closing at KRW 462,000, down 15,000. Shinsegae and Taekwang Industrial also saw decreases, ending the day at KRW 200,500 and KRW 883,000, respectively. Other notable declines included SK hynix and KCC, closing at KRW 351,000 and KRW 425,500.
Overall, the trading session presented a varied landscape for investors, with some sectors experiencing gains while others faced losses.
